Technology Application

 

Using methanol as raw material, crude hydrogen (mainly CO2, H2, and trace CO, CH4) is produced by steam cracking process, and then purified by pressure swing adsorption technology to obtain hydrogen with purity meeting the requirements of users.
The raw methanol and raw desalted water are premixed at a certain ratio, pressurized by metering pump, preheated, gasified and superheated, and then enter the reactor. Under the action of catalyst, the reaction is carried out to generate crude hydrogen. After heat exchange, the heat is recovered, cooled, and then enter the pressure swing adsorption device for final purification.

 

The raw material vaporization process

 

Refers to the raw liquid vaporization under pressurized conditions, methanol and desalted water mixed in a certain portion, and pressured into the system of preheating, vaporization, heating to the conversion temperature by pump.

The purpose of this procedure is to provide a set of conditions such as the ratio of raw materials and the conversion temperature for the catalytic conversion of methanol.

 

Techairs provides Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) technology for hydrogen production on both a small and large scale. SMR is a cost-effective and energy efficient way of producing hydrogen. High levels of purity can be reached by employing in-house Pressure Swing Adsorption purification technology.
 
In the steam reforming process, a desulfurized hydrocarbon feedstock (natural gas, refinery offgas, liquefied petroleum gas or naphtha) is pre-heated, mixed with steam and optionally pre-reformed before passing a catalyst in a proprietary top-fired steam reformer to produce hydrogen, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The CO is shifted with steam to additional hydrogen and CO2, and the hydrogen is then separated using Pressure Swing Adsorption.
